Is their a usb printer cable that connects to a parallel laptop?

You can probably get an adapter. If you go on the web site of the printer brand, they might sell it... or go to a computer store like Frys, and they will most likely have a USB to Parallel port adapter.

U can buy a converter for it, ask your local computer store for a for a usb to parallel converter.

Yes. USB is USB. It doesn't matter what you used it for before. Just check to see that it is the correct type of USB cable. Most printers require a USB cable that looks like this:

If both ends of the USB cable you currently have look like this:
http://blogs.s60.com/s60multimedia/usb%2 0002.jpg
then you may need to buy one that is compatible with your printer.
