I own a Garmin 250w and I have nothing to complain of it goes well and gets me to where I want to go. But it does not tell me me VOCALY. my friends garmin sat nav tells her the name of the street she is to turn into. my garmin only writes the name pf the street on the screen. and I find it helpful to be told withou t having to strain my eyes to look at the garmin print when moving in the car.

Does the Garmin nuvi 250w come with maps if Canada?
The 250W comes preloaded with North America maps. Preloaded means the maps are already installed on the GPS receiver. You should be able to go to the map page and pan to a location in Canada and have detailed map coverage. You might have to zoom in some to see all of the roads.
