Best way to get audio from TV/Blu Ray to home theater system?

Since you get video out of a sat box, you don't take responsibility for about the TV out. It is useful only when you use a tuner.
(Coax out is digital audio out)
So, seal set-top and BD player optical out to the home theater system optical and you are all set!
On the set-top and BD set the audio out to be Raw or bitstream (NOT PCM) so you can get 5.1 unbroken via Dolby or DTS.

You are stuck on the TV out side, try the coaxe with RG6, for the others the optical will give advantage results unless you have 5 plug component available or HDMI .
